- Replace the old batteries with the same specification as originals.
- Keep the battery and battery case clear of heat source. Not allowed to handle the batteries by fire, otherwise explosion might happen.
- Not allowed to open or damage the battery, other poisonous electrolyte might hurt your skin or eyes.
- Only the professionals have the right to replace the batteries because the high voltage and high current exist inside.
- Before replacement of batteries, shut down the UPS first.
- Keep the metal article clear of the battery port.
- Do not reverse the battery pole.
Hazardous voltage:
Caution: Before handling of battery, check whether any high voltage exist between battery port and ground to avoid the electrical shock.
Caution: Before maintenance, disconnect the connection between battery and UPS to avoid electrical shock.

Press the " " button for more than 1 second, loose the button until hearing of one sound of WA to shutdown the UPS. For RXG1K(S)/RXG2K(S)/RXG3K(S), there is no output while for RXG5K(S)/ RXG10K(S), the UPS switches to bypass.
Bypass indicator (orange LED): When LED is on, it means that the load is powered by mains directly.
Main indicator (green LED): When the LED is on, it means the mains is normal (when LED flash or LED is off, it means mains failure).
Inverter indicator (green LED): When LED is on, it means the load is powered by mains or by the batteries
Battery indicator (orange LED): When he LED is on, it means the load is powered by the batteries. (when the LED flash, it means battery failure).
Fault indicator: When the LED is on, when the UPS is in failure condition.
2. Installation Guide
2.1 Inspection
Undo the packing, please check whether UPS is damaged or not. If damage, contact the distributor directly. Then check the accessory is complete or not, and the necessary should include one input power cord, one RS232 wire, one manual and one battery wire.
2.2 Installation of RXG1K(S) / RXG2K(S) / RXG3K(S) / RXG5K(S) / RXG10K(S)
- Connect the UPS to the socket or terminal block with over-current protection function, and make the specification of socket is well suitable for connection.
- For RXG1K(S) / RXG2K(S) UPS, more than 10A capacity is required for the input socket while for RXG3K(S), more than 16A required, for RXG5K(S), more than 30A required for input terminal block, for RXG10K(S), more than 50A required for input terminal block.
- Connect the output socket and output terminal block to the load directly.
- Input and output or UPS should wired to ground.
2.3 Battery installation procedure RXG1K(S) / RXG2K(S) / RXG3K(S) / RXG5K(S) / RXG10K(S)
- For RXG1K, three pieces of batteries in series (36VDC) for one group; for RXG2K(S) and RXG3K(S) 8 batteries in series (96VDC) for one group; for RXG5K(S) / RXG10K(S), twenty pieces of batteries in series (192VDC/240VDC) for one group. More than one group in parallel is also acceptable.
- Connect the batteries in series, and measure the voltage of battery group. Connect the red line to the + end of battery, while black line to ¨C end, yellow/green to battery case protection group.
- Make the right connection, then insert the battery line to UPS.
3. Operation
3.1 Startup, shutdown and sound muffling.
1. UPS startup
1). When the RXG3K(S)/ RXG5K(S)/ RXG10K(S) is connected to mains, flip the Breaker to ON position; RXG5K(S)/ RXG10K(S) enters bypass mode with 5#, 7#, 8# LED on when RXG1K(S)/ RXG2K(S) enter POWER ON status without output with 5# and 7# LED on.
2). Press the button for one second to start up the UPS.
3). When the UPS startup, it will perform self-testing first. Upon completion, UPS will enter inverter output status with mains indicator, inverter indicator, load indicator and battery indicator illuminating.
2. UPS startup without connecting to mains
1). Press the button for one second to start up the UPS.
2). When the UPS startup, it will perform self-testing immediately. Upon completion of self-testing, UPS will come into battery mode with battery indicator, inverter indicator, load indicator and battery indicator illuminating.
3. UPS shutdown in the mains mode
1). Press the button for one second to shutdown the UPS.
2). When the UPS startup, it will perform self-testing immediately. Upon completion of self-testing, UPS will come into bypass mode with battery mains indicator, and bypass indicator illuminating.
3). There is still output available after UPS enter bypass mode. If no need for output, mains must be disconnected or flip the breaker to OFF position in the back panel RXG3K(S)/RXG5K(S)/RXG10K(S).
4. UPS Shutdown in the battery mode
1). Press the button for one second to shutdown the UPS
2). When the UPS-shutdown, it will perform self-testing immediately. Upon completion, UPS will shutdown.
5. Sound muffling in the battery mode
If the alarm sound of every four-second is not acceptable, press the power-on button for one second to eliminate the alarm sound.
- 5.1 Communication port
RS232, AS400, Web power (optional) for intelligent slot is available for UPS remote control.
4. Maintenance
The following should be strictly adhered to:
- Not allowed to open the UPS case.
- Not allowed to place the UPS next to the water or high temperature or high moisture.
- Not allowed to put any article into UPS.
- Keeps the UPS in the well-ventilated environment.
- Keeps the UPS away from direct sunshine or heat source.
- Recommended to charge the battery inside UPS every four to six month if the UPS is put away for long time.
- In the normal condition, the life expectancy of UPS is three to five years. Batteries must be replaced if the condition is not good.
- In the high temperature area, the batteries should be charged and discharged every two-month with charging time not less than 12 hours. In the normal environment, the batteries should be charged and discharged every four-month with charging time not less than 12 hours. Please be noted that more than 50% load should be carried with when discharging to avoid any damage of batteries due to over discharging.
Note:
The little sparkle occurring in the joint when connecting to battery will NOT cause any damage to human being and UPS.
